The thesis deals with the French and Czech terminology that occurs frequently in European legislative texts focused on the field "Labour conditions - safety of workers". The thesis consists of two main parts. The first, theoretical one explains prolems of corpus linguistics, corpora and parallel corpora and it describes more in detail parallel corpora with the French language, which are currently available. The second, research part is devoted to the analysis of the parallel corpus of the chosen French and Czech terminology with the aid of the special programme called "ParaConc" and it evaluates quality of the translation of the terms and their collocations, that are typical of the domain of labour law.
